Help without the faff

Answers for the common splashes.

The final public support address will be added before launch. These answers cover the current beta’s most common product questions.

How do I add a drink or wee?

Use the Water or Pee action on Today, or the compact quick-entry controls on Log. Choose a kit item, adjust the measured amount and save. Only the volume is required for a wee; other observations are optional.

Can I correct an entry?

Open Log and swipe an entry to reveal Edit or Delete. Editing updates the local journal; it does not create a second fluid entry.

Why is a custom container useful?

It stores the capacity of a cup, bottle, jug or measuring pot you use repeatedly. Selecting it gives each new record a sensible starting amount that can still be changed.

Why is my Apple Watch entry delayed?

When the iPhone is reachable, the Watch attempts immediate delivery. Otherwise the entry is queued through WatchConnectivity. watchOS decides background timing, so delivery may wait until the devices reconnect or the system permits background work.

Does Watch sync use iCloud?

No. Pee & Pour uses WatchConnectivity between the companion apps. The current journal is not stored in CloudKit or on a Pee & Pour server.

Why are pee records not in Apple Health?

HealthKit does not offer a urine-volume record type. Optional integration is limited to supported water-intake entries.

What is the difference between a PDF and a .pap backup?

The PDF is designed for reading and sharing. A `.pap` file is versioned JSON designed to restore the complete local app state, including journal records, kit details, photos, framing and preferences.

Will restoring a backup duplicate Apple Health entries?

No. Apple Health samples are not contained in the backup and are not recreated during restore.

Where is my data stored?

The journal and kit photographs are stored locally on the iPhone. Read the privacy page for the full data-flow summary.

Is the app medical advice?

No. Pee & Pour is a personal journal, not a medical device or diagnosis service. Follow the instructions given by your healthcare professional and use the appropriate NHS or emergency route for concerning symptoms.
